Galaxy s8 not downloading roku app

Using the Roku remote and stick on the older TV is very intuitive and easy to navigate. Using the Roku app on the Samsung Smart tv app is not so easy. Is there a work around for navigating the Roku app and getting to the Roku app home screen while using the Samsung remote?

Thanks for the note. The Roku mobile app only offers remote control functionality for Roku devices. You'll need to use the Samsung remote in order to control your Samsung TV. I'd recommend contacting Samsung support for any questions or help using their remote on their TVs. View solution in original post. I have a 50" Samsung Smart TV. I have gone through hours of klugy windows and pointed and clicked until I am blue or purple? Is it possible to use a Roku box instead of the download approach?

A recent issue — which affected many Samsung Galaxy users, not just those with an S8 or S8 Plus — caused many apps such as online banking and social media apps to crash or forcibly close. Luckily, Samsung discovered that the issue was due to Android System Webview and released a fix. This is a problem that has affected other Android phones too.

You can do this by resetting the camera app and clearing its cache and data. This will let you know if a third-party app is the culprit. A few people have found that the app icon badges indicating a new message or another notification in an app have stopped working for them. Luckily, the fix should be fairly easy.

There are a few different things you can try to alleviate this issue. There have been some reports that even when running on powerful S8 hardware, the UI can occasionally produce some lag, especially when using the home launcher. Smartview offers up the devices in the list for me to choose and then just stays on the "connecting" screen until eventually times out.

Does anyone else have this problem and does anyone have a solution? Weirdly, if I use the 3rd party "Allscreen" app and the "Allscreen" app on my Roku, I can play media via the Roku, as long as I can select "Allscreen" as the media player for that file not possible in all cases. But no matter what I try, SmartView will not allow me to connect to my other devices for screen mirroring etc. The phone detects and recognizes the Roku 3, they're both on the same network, it starts to connect, brings up thephone screen on the TV and then drops.

This should work more smoothly. I took mine into Samsung store.
